I Am Dark… and Beautiful

Darkness…the new moon

begins its slow turning

waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous

sliver of light, by sliver of light

Reaching its full radiance when

wholly and completely beholding

Reflecting…the Sun

I too am dark

inside a cacophony

pain, sorrow, self-serving ideas, judgments, hell of my own making

Thirsting for Light, needing life

Exposure… cries heard

Sliver of Light

Waxing

Awakening begins

slowly towards

Fully reflecting…Fully beholding Light
